❉ today was a super fun day! for the roof garden's 30th birthday party, which is coming soon, the promotions manager asked some of us to model for the flyers, which involved a big photo shoot with professional make-up artists, hairdressers, stylists and photographers.

the theme was new romantic/ moulin rouge/ marie antoinette, with a slutty edge. after we'd been made up by the stylists, had our hair teased to the shithouse, face powdered and painted in colours and fake eyelashes applied, we chose our costumes from a pile of extravagant jewellery, feathery hats, frilly skirts and corsets.

putting together and dressing up in costumes like that is probably my number one favourite thing to do in the world, second being posing for photographs, which is what we did next... i was first for the individual poses and was having so much fun in front of the camera that after about 100 photos, the photographer basically had to kick me off the set so the next model could have a turn.

jerry arrived at the studio after work to say hi and i roped him into joining the crew. next thing he was in the makeup chair getting his hair teased and a black mask painted on his face. he even let me re-pierce his ear for the costume. afterwards he admitted that it was a lot of fun.... i can't wait to see the professional photos!
