there's a new hard rock cafe opening up in puerto banus displaying a big sign advertising for staff so jerry and i grab our CVs and head down to talk to them... they seem pretty interested in us and say theyll let us know in the next few days. we're full of hope again!
on our way home jerry gets a phone call from CSN- the swedish organisation that loans money to swedes to study abroad, and it turns out they're gonna give him money to live here for a few months and study spanish! all of a sudden it feels like everything may fall into place! yay!!!!
we celebrate by hitting the beach and then eating dinner at a little outdoor tapas restaurant in the old town.. its in a small piazza full of palm trees, right next to a school of dance and music. as little girls in ballet costumes mingle with the tourists swarming past, we feast on our spanish tortilla, bruschetta and cheese, the soft sound of opera singing floods the square and it feels like it could be a century earlier....
